Fiberglass fiberglass (English: fiber-reinforced plastic, FRP), is a high molecular weight epoxy resin or unsaturated polyester resin as the matrix,glass fiber(Glass fiber), glass fiber board is a composite material made of glass fiber material and high heat-resistant composite material, carbon fiber or boron fiber as a reinforcing material, and made through a composite process.It has the advantages of lightness, corrosion resistance, anti-aging, waterproof and insulation, so it is used to manufacture various sports equipment, pipes, shipbuilding, automobiles, housings and printed circuit boards of electronic products.glass fiberIt has many advantages.

Application field

glass fiberProducts are widely used in various fields, among which electronics, transportation and construction are the three most important application fields, and also represent the development trend of the world glass fiber industry in the next few years

glass fiberIt is an inorganic non-metallic material with excellent performance. There are many kinds. Its advantages are good insulation, strong heat resistance, good corrosion resistance and high mechanical strength, but its disadvantages are brittleness and poor wear resistance.It is made of pyrophyllite, quartz sand, limestone, dolomite, boronite, and boronite as raw materials through high-temperature melting, wire drawing, winding, and weaving. From a few microns to more than twenty microns, equivalent to 1/20-1/5 of a hair, each bundle of fiber precursors consists of hundreds or even thousands of single filaments.glass fiberUsually used as reinforcing material of composite material, electrical insulation and heat insulation materials, circuit substrate and other national economy fields.

Glass fibers are divided into different grades according to composition, properties and uses.According to the standard grade, E-grade glass fiber is the most commonly used and widely used in electrical insulation materials.

Features:

Raw material and its application: glass fiber has higher temperature resistance than organic fiber, non-combustible, anti-corrosion, good heat insulation and sound insulation, high tensile strength, and good electrical insulation.But it is brittle and has poor wear resistance.It is used to make reinforced plastic or reinforced rubber. As a reinforcing material, glass fiber has the following characteristics. These characteristics make the use of glass fiber far more extensive than other types of fibers, and the development speed is far ahead. The characteristics are listed as follows:

(1) High tensile strength and small elongation (3%).

(2) High elastic coefficient and good rigidity.

(3) The elongation within the elastic limit is large and the tensile strength is high, so the absorption of impact energy is large.

(4) It is an inorganic fiber, which is non-combustible and has good chemical resistance.

(5) Small water absorption.

(6) Dimensional stability and heat resistance are good.

(7) Good processability, can be made into strands, bundles, felts, weaving and other products in different forms.

(8) It is transparent and can pass through light.

(9) Good adhesion with resin.

(10) The price is cheap.

(11) It is not easy to burn, and can be melted into glass beads at high temperature.

The effect of glass fiber:

1. Enhance the rigidity and hardness. The increase of glass fiber can improve the strength and rigidity of the plastic, but the toughness of the same plastic will decrease.Example: flexural modulus;

2. Improve heat resistance and heat distortion temperature. Taking nylon as an example, nylon with glass fiber is added, and the heat distortion temperature is at least doubled. The temperature resistance of ordinary glass fiber reinforced nylon can reach more than 220 degrees.

3. Improve dimensional stability and reduce shrinkage;

4. Reduce warping deformation;

5. Reduce creep;

6. For the flame retardant performance, because of the wick effect, it will interfere with the flame retardant system and affect the flame retardant effect;

7. Reduce the glossiness of the surface;

8. Increase hygroscopicity;

9. Glass fiber treatment: The length of glass fiber directly affects the brittleness of the material.If the glass fiber is not handled properly, the short fiber will reduce the impact strength, and the long fiber will increase the impact strength.In order to prevent the brittleness of the material from greatly decreasing, it is necessary to select a certain length of glass fiber.

Conclusion: To obtain good impact strength, the surface treatment of glass fiber and the length of glass fiber are very important.

The glass fiber board is harmless to the human body, does not contain asbestos, and also has antistatic treatment, which makes the performance more stable, and also has a fireproof function, making it safer and more secure to use.The surface is very flat, without any other powder for decoration, it is widely used in some large office buildings or some museums, cinemas and so on.
