Conductive UPE (UHMW-PE) ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene sheet (surface resistivity 10³-5 ohms) UPE, or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, is a thermoplastic engineering plastic with a molecular weight higher than 1.5 million. Its molecular chain length is 10-20 times that of high-density polyethylene. This longer molecular chain (higher molecular weight) gives UHMWPE its main advantages in toughness, abrasion resistance, and stress cracking resistance. As it is a type of polyethylene, UHMWPE also possesses lubricity, chemical resistance, and the excellent electrical properties of general-purpose HDPE.
